Nyanpasu~!

Taishi here. I’m a professional Japanese to English translator committed to helping clients break through the language barrier into potential marke—

Yea, who am I kidding haha.

I mean, I try to be all that, but honestly I’m just your run-of-the-mill chuuni otaku who just happens to have watched enough anime to try my hand at translating. I’ve been an avid reader ever since I was young, and I think it sucks that there are so many great Japanese light novels that people who can’t read Japanese can’t get into. So somebody’s gotta do something about that, yea? Well, this is little old me just doing my bit, I suppose. Fingers crossed I don’t botch it up too much. It is my hope that you enjoy my translations enough to also support the authors by buying the original raw, even if you can’t read them in Japanese. A little support always goes a long way!

Every once in a while, I also do live translating in chat for Japanese vtubers, especially those from Hololive and those within Kson’s “Friends” group. So you might see my name in LiveTL every once in a while. I’m also sort of involved in the development of the tools we use in the group for live translating (LiveTL, MChad, etc) as a (rather vocal) end user, and the work those people do always knocks me on my behind.

At the same time, I myself am a vtuber too. I mainly stream gaming, but every once in a while I do live translating of Secret Org as a way to teach Japanese through practical usage. I’m also honored to be a part of the abovementioned Kson’s “Friends” group, so you’ll see me collabing with others every so often!

Feel free to reach out to me about translating or anything else. When I’m in the middle of a book, I’m always open to comments about grammatical mistakes, consistency errors, and things of that sort. You can reach me on Twitter, Discord, or if you want to get all proper on me, here’s my email: kamishirotaishi@gmail.com.

If you’ve read to the bottom of this page (who does that even?!), kudos to you. I hope you have yourself a wonderful day!
